A Garmin skunkworks team borrowed me for a day to help explain a potential feature on a fitness device. The quick & dirty storyboard above was used as a part of their elevator pitch.
I needed to tell a story, but only had one night to get it done. I tried strapping a webcam to my head to capture whiteboard sketches in realtime, then I sped it up to create the quick story below. It ended up being an effective method, and I was approved to move forward with a more high fidelity execution.
The UX team is often tasked to come up with - and pitch small technology-centric demos to show at different trade shows and conferences. A wearable technology demo includes a professionally shot, live-action vignette, but it starts out with a story. The excerpt above is an animation method proof of concept for bringing some motion to the story.
